· A case for reflection

· Evaluation

Purpose of this theme:
To become aware of your body language and tone of voice.

Communication

We all communicate all the time. You may think that your words are the most useful tool to communicate, however actually this is not true. Your BODY LANGUAGE is the main tool that communicates.

How does your body show that you are nervous? or how does your body show that you are proud?

Mehrabians rule:
body language is the most important tool to communicate

Watch this video and get sharper on how we all use body language.

Case reflection

You have just been hired. You got a good onboarding, but there are parts of the job which you do not feel confident with yet. You have been told by your manager that you will review it together again next week, as it will be busy the next couple of days.

“You just need to do your best”, your manager says. This makes you nervous and uncomfortable, as you wish to provide the guests with a good experience.

How could you in this situation work with your body language in a way that makes you seem confident to the guests?

Evaluation reflection

To what extend are you aware of your own body language?
To what extend do you feel competent to read your colleagues and guests body language?

Good job, you have finished your online training
